Professional Overview

Professor Ehab N. El-Rayes received his medical degree with honors from Ain Shams University, one of Egypt’s leading medical schools.

He completed his ophthalmology residency and training at Cairo University Hospital, followed by a Master’s Degree in Ophthalmology from Cairo University.

He joined Associated Retinal Consultants in Royal Oak, Michigan, USA, where he completed his vitreoretinal fellowship in 1993, followed by a research fellowship at Oakland University Research Eye Institute in 1994.

He obtained his Ph.D. degree in 1997 and has since become a leading figure in vitreoretinal surgery, clinical research, and ophthalmology education.
